Homestead Village Homes for Sale and Neighborhood Highlights
As a longtime REALTOR® serving Harford County, I’m excited to introduce you to Homestead Village. This well-established neighborhood within zip code 21015 is known for its convenience, charm, and solid value. Below, you’ll find a description of the neighborhood from my perspective, designed to help potential homebuyers searching in the Bel Air area.
Discovering Homestead Village
Homestead Village is located in Bel Air, just off of Brierhill Drive. The setting is comfortably suburban, with mature trees, sidewalks, and a layout that feels cohesive without being “cookie cutter.”
The neighborhood features modest-sized single-family homes built in the 1960s and 1970s. The housing stock consists of colonials, split-levels, and ranchers. The homes here are typically 3 to 4 bedrooms and average a little over 2,000 square feet. Lot sizes tend to be average (around 0.25 acres) and feature mature landscaping. Because of the age of the neighborhood, you will find homes in a range of conditions. Some are completely remodeled, while others may need refreshing.
Why Buyers Are Drawn to Homestead Village
- Proximity to downtown Bel Air: You’re never far from shops, restaurants, services, and everyday errands. Many residents walk or bike to local destinations.
- Good value for location: For many buyers, you get more home or lot for dollar compared with other Bel Air neighborhoods.
- Established Neighborhood: Most homes have mature trees and landscaping
- Not a “Cookie Cutter” Neighborhood: You will find a mix of home styles and exteriors in this neighborhood.
Schools & Educational Access
Homestead Village is served by the Harford County Public Schools system. Depending on the specific street address, typical school assignments would be Homestead/Wakefield Elementary, Bel Air Middle, and Bel Air High. But school boundaries in Harford County can and do change, so I always advise my clients to verify with Harford County Public Schools and check the most current maps or contact the school district directly.
