Deer Run Homes for Sale and Neighborhood Guide
Welcome to Deer Run in Bel Air, Maryland. As a local Harford County Realtor, I have toured homes in and around this neighborhood and have helped buyers explore this part of Bel Air many times. One of the things I like most about Deer Run is how close it is to downtown Bel Air while still offering a quiet residential setting. I have put this page together to give home buyers an overview of what it is like to live here. At the end you will find a list of current homes for sale in Deer Run.
What It’s Like Here
Deer Run is a mix of single family homes and townhomes, which gives buyers flexibility depending on their needs and price range. The homes here were primarily built in the early 2000s and are mostly colonial in style. There is a range of sizes, but many homes are around 2,500 square feet with four bedrooms.
The single family homes typically sit on about a quarter acre and many of the lots are flat and usable. You will also notice sidewalks, wide streets, and a generally flat layout, which makes it easy to walk, bike, or spend time outside. The neighborhood has a walkability score of 30 which is actually higher than most Harford County neighborhoods.
Because the homes are now over twenty years old, you will see a range of conditions. Some homes have been updated with modern kitchens, flooring, and systems, while others may still have more original finishes. This can be a positive for buyers because it creates opportunities at different price points.
Location
Deer Run is located in zip code 21014, just off Henderson Road, which connects to Conowingo Road. Deer run sits next to the Irwins Choice community. This location puts you just minutes from downtown Bel Air and Forest Hill. From here, you can easily access Route 1, making commuting and daily errands simple and efficient. I often point out to buyers that this is one of those locations where you get the benefit of being close to everything without feeling like you are in the middle of heavy traffic or congestion. Grocery stores, restaurants, parks, and services are all nearby, which makes everyday living very convenient.
