Great Location

Map of Harford County, MD
Harford County is located in northeastern Maryland, just north of Baltimore County and west of Cecil County. It stretches from the Susquehanna River on the east to the rolling countryside near Fallston and Jarrettsville on the west. Major towns include Bel Air, Abingdon, Aberdeen, Havre de Grace, Fallston, Forest Hill, and Edgewood.
In my opinion, one of the biggest draws to Harford County, is location. Harford County offers easy access to Interstate 95, Route 40, and Route 24, making commuting to Baltimore, Towson, and even Wilmington very manageable. Aberdeen Proving Ground is also a major employer in the area. For day trips, residents can head to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, the waterfront in Annapolis, or take a weekend trip to Washington, D.C. or Philadelphia. You are also only few hours from Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey beaches. At the same time, you can come home to quieter neighborhoods, local parks, and a strong sense of community.
About the Area
Harford County offers a mix of suburban neighborhoods, small town charm, and rural landscapes. You will find everything from established single family home communities to newer townhome developments and larger homes on acreage. Many buyers are drawn to the area for its balance of convenience and space.
Bel Air serves as the county seat and provides a hub of shopping, dining, and local events. Havre de Grace offers scenic waterfront views along the Susquehanna River. Abingdon and Forest Hill feature popular residential communities with easy access to major roads. Fallston and Jarrettsville provide a more rural feel while still being close to amenities.
This variety allows buyers to choose a lifestyle that fits their needs, whether that means walkability, water views, or a little more privacy.

Schools
Students living in Harford County attend Harford County Public Schools. School assignments are determined by address and district boundaries. I always recommend that buyers verify their specific school assignment directly with the school system before purchasing, as boundaries can change over time.
Why Work With Leigh Kaminsky
Before getting into real estate, I was a school teacher in upstate New York. I moved to Harford County in 2016 and quickly saw why so many people choose to settle here. I remember spending my first months exploring local restaurants, attending town events, and taking day trips to nearby destinations. It did not take long for it to feel like home. I transitioned into real estate shortly after, and I have been helping buyers and sellers navigate the Harford County market ever since. Having gone through the process myself, I understand what it feels like to move here and get settled.
If you are thinking about buying a home in the greater Harford County, I would be glad to help you explore your options and find the right fit. Feel free to reach out anytime.
