The Townes at Bynum Run Townhomes for Sale, Bel Air, MD
Welcome to The Towns at Bynum Run in Bel Air, Maryland. As a local Realtor who has toured homes in and around this neighborhood and lives nearby, I have gotten to know this community well. One of the things that stands out is that this is a newer townhome community in a location that keeps you close to everything downtown Bel Air has to offer. I have put this page together to give home buyers an overview of what it’s like to live here. At the end you will find a list of current homes for sale.
A Central Location
The Towns at Bynum Run is located in zip code 21014, just off Churchville Road, directly across from Bynum Run Park and The John Carroll School. This location puts you just minutes from downtown Bel Air while still offering quick access to Route 1 and other major roads.
About the Neighborhood and Homes
This is a small townhome community that was built around 2019, so the homes still feel relatively new compared to many other options in the area. Most of the homes offer around 2,400 square feet of living space with three bedrooms, giving buyers a layout that feels more like a small single family home in terms of space.
One feature that many buyers appreciate is that these homes include garages, which is not always the case with townhomes in Bel Air. At the same time, it is important to note that the garage layout means there are steps leading up to the main living level. For some buyers, especially those looking for one level living, that can be a consideration.
The community has a nice backdrop of trees behind the community. However, it does sit close to Churchville Road, which can be a busy road. Homes located toward the front of the neighborhood will experience more road noise, so that is something I always point out when touring buyers through this community.
Another interesting aspect is the walkability. With a walk score around 56, this is actually higher than many neighborhoods in Harford County. You can walk to nearby shopping and parks, which is a plus.
Local Points of Interest
One of the biggest advantages of living at the Townes of Bynum Run is how close you are to some of Bel Air’s most popular spots.
Downtown Bel Air is just a few minutes away and offers a mix of local restaurants, boutiques, coffee shops, and seasonal events throughout the year. It is a great place to spend a Saturday morning or meet friends for dinner.
Pappas Restaurant and Sports Bar is nearby and well known for its crab cakes and casual atmosphere. It’s famous for serving Oprah’s favorite crabcakes.
Rockfield Park is located within walking distance and is one of the most well known parks in the area. It features walking trails, open green space, and hosts events throughout the year.
Bynum Run Park is located right across the street. It has a pond and walking trail.
Greenbrier Shopping Center, which includes Safeway, is within walking distance. This makes it easy to handle everyday errands without needing to drive far.
Das Bierhalle is also close by and offers a unique local experience with a German food and a large selection of beers.
Schools
Residents of The Towns at Bynum Run are part of the Harford County Public School system. The typical school assignments for this neighborhood include Bel Air Elementary School, Southampton Middle School, and C. Milton Wright High School. The John Carroll School, a well known private school, is located directly across the street from the community.
I always recommend that my buyers verify school assignments before purchasing a home, as school boundaries can and do change in Harford County.

The Towns at Bynum Run offers a newer townhome option in a location that is hard to beat if you want to be close to downtown Bel Air and everyday conveniences. It is a good fit for buyers looking for a low maintenance lifestyle with more space than many traditional townhomes.
