At the end of this page, you will also find a list of current homes for sale.

Rural Location  Darlington Homes for Sale

Darlington is located in northern Harford County near the Susquehanna River and the Pennsylvania state line. It sits just northwest of Havre de Grace and north of Bel Air, offering a peaceful rural setting while still being within reach of everyday conveniences. Nearby towns such as Havre de Grace, Forest Hill, and Bel Air provide shopping, dining, and services within a reasonable drive.

One of the biggest advantages of Darlington is access to outdoor recreation and scenic day trips. Residents enjoy being close to the river, state parks, and rolling countryside. You are also within comfortable driving distance of Baltimore, Wilmington, and Philadelphia, making commuting or weekend trips very manageable. For shorter outings, many people enjoy quick drives to Havre de Grace waterfront, Conowingo Dam, and some of the charming small towns in southern Pennsylvania.

About the Area

Darlington is known for its quiet, rural character and wide open spaces. Many homes sit on larger lots, and it is common to find properties with acreage, scenic views, and a sense of privacy that is harder to find in more suburban areas. Buyers who are drawn to Darlington often appreciate the slower pace, natural surroundings, and opportunity for a more country style lifestyle.

Local Points of Interest

Downtown Bel Air
A popular destination for shopping, dining, seasonal festivals, and community events throughout the year.

Downtown Havre de Grace
A charming waterfront town with restaurants, shops, walking paths, and beautiful views along the Susquehanna River.

Conowingo Fishermans Park
A scenic park along the river known for fishing, eagle watching, and outdoor recreation near the Conowingo Dam.  Have your camera ready.  You can get some amazing shots of Eagles here.

Plumpton Park Zoo
A small family friendly zoo located nearby in Rising Sun, offering animal exhibits and educational programs.  This is such an easy zoo to get to and walk around.  We always hit Key’s Creamery after going here.  It’s a family favorite for us.

Schools

Students living in Darlington attend Harford County Public Schools. School assignments can vary depending on the specific property location, and boundaries can change over time. I always recommend that buyers verify school zoning directly with the county before purchasing a home.
