Amyclae Estates Homes for Sale and Neighborhood Highlights
Welcome to Amyclae Estates in Bel Air, MD. One of the things buyers appreciate is the mix of single-family colonials in a location that makes everyday errands and commuting feel manageable. As a local Realtor who lives nearby and has toured homes here with buyers, I have had the chance to get a feel for how this neighborhood lives day to day. I put this page together to give you a picture of what it is like to live in Amyclae Estates, and at the end you will find a list of current homes for sale.
Ideal Location
Amyclae Estates is located in zip code 21014 in Harford County. It sits between Route 543 and East Churchville Road, directly across from the Amyclae East neighborhood. This placement gives you a practical balance between a residential setting and access to major roads. From here, it is a short drive into downtown Bel Air, and you can quickly connect to Route 1 or I-95. The location tends to appeal to buyers who want to be close to daily conveniences without feeling like they are in a high traffic area.
About the Neighborhood and Homes
Amyclae Estates is a well known and consistently popular neighborhood in Bel Air. You will find a mix of townhomes and single family homes, primarily colonials and traditional styles. This variety can be helpful if you are trying to stay within a certain budget but still want to be in a neighborhood with a strong reputation.
Most of the homes were built in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Because of that, the layouts tend to feel familiar and functional, with defined living spaces, larger kitchens compared to earlier decades, and bedrooms that are a comfortable size. Many of the single family homes average around 3,000 square feet, which gives buyers room to grow without stepping into a much higher price point. The townhomes here are also on the larger side, and some include garages.
The neighborhood itself has sidewalks throughout, which is something I always point out to buyers who enjoy walking or just like having that neighborhood feel. Mature trees line many of the streets, giving the community a more established look compared to newer construction. It is the kind of setting where you can picture people out walking dogs, kids riding bikes, and neighbors getting to know each other over time.
What’s Nearby
Amyclae Estates benefits from being close to several local spots that people in Bel Air tend to use regularly. Here are some of my favorites.
Ma and Pa Trail
This is one of the more popular walking and biking trails in Harford County. It offers a paved path with a scenic, wooded setting and is a great option for getting outside without having to travel far.
Downtown Bel Air
Downtown Bel Air is the center of activity for the area. You will find local shops, restaurants, coffee spots, and community events throughout the year. It is a place that adds a lot of character to living in this part of the county.
Lib’s Grill
Lib’s Grill is a well known local restaurant that offers a casual but slightly upscale dining experience. It is a convenient option for a night out and is close enough that some residents consider it walkable depending on the exact location within the neighborhood.
Pappas Sports Bar
Pappas is a go to spot for casual dining, especially if you are meeting friends or watching a game. It is known locally for its crab cakes and relaxed atmosphere.
Harford County Schools
Students in Amyclae Estates attend Harford County Public Schools. The typical school assignments for this neighborhood are Prospect Mill Elementary School, Southampton Middle School, and C. Milton Wright High School. As with any home purchase, I always recommend that buyers verify school assignments directly with Harford County Public Schools, since boundaries can and do change over time.
