Barrington is located in ZIP code 21014 in Harford County. The neighborhood sits off South Main Street, with its entrance on Barrington Road across from Patterson Mill Road.
This location puts Barrington close to both downtown Bel Air and the shopping and dining areas along Route 24 and Bel Air South Parkway. I-95 is within a reasonable drive for commuters. Despite being close to many of Bel Air’s everyday conveniences, Barrington itself does not have through streets, which helps limit traffic within the community.
Villa and Carriage Homes in Barrington
Barrington was developed primarily in the late 1990s and early 2000s by Clark Turner Homes. The neighborhood consists of attached and semi-attached carriage homes and villas, many with architectural details that give them a more upscale feel than a typical townhome community.
Homes in the community generally offer between two and four bedrooms and have two-car garages. You will find features such as extensive molding and trim, hardwood flooring, vaulted or two-story spaces, fireplaces, finished lower levels, and larger primary suites.
Barrington is an HOA community, and the neighborhood is well maintained and landscaped. There are no cut-through streets, which gives the community a more tucked-away layout despite its location near South Main Street. Some properties also have wooded views. This is especially true toward the rear of the neighborhood around Crystal Court, where a number of homes back to trees.
