The neighborhood sits in the corner between W Ring Factory Road and S Tollgate Road, giving residents quick access to many of the areas people use every day in Bel Air. You can get to shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, schools, and commuter routes fairly quickly while still feeling tucked into a more established residential setting.
The location also puts residents close to downtown Bel Air, Route 24, and other major roads throughout Harford County. Residents are within reasonable driving distance to places like Aberdeen Proving Ground, I-95, and even parts of Baltimore County. The neighborhood includes split foyers, split levels, ranchers, colonials, and other traditional home designs. That variety gives the neighborhood character.
Another feature that tends to stand out in Camelot is the lot size. The average lot size is around 0.4 acres, which is larger than what buyers will find in many Harford County neighborhoods today.
The mature landscaping throughout the neighborhood also adds to the overall atmosphere. Since the community has been established for decades, many of the trees are fully grown and provide shade and greenery that newer neighborhoods often lack. During the spring and summer months, the neighborhood has a very settled and comfortable feel because of the mature trees and landscaping.
Camelot does not have sidewalks, which some buyers view as a positive because it contributes to a more traditional suburban appearance. Others may prefer sidewalks for walking or jogging, so that is something buyers may want to consider depending on their personal preferences and lifestyle.
