Fairway Homes for Sale

Fairway is located in the 21015 zip code in Harford County, Maryland. The neighborhood sits off Wheel Road, across from the Glenangus community, and is positioned in a quieter residential area just outside the busier parts of Bel Air.

About Fairway Homes and Neighborhood

Fairway is made up primarily of single-family homes built from the late 1960s through the mid-1970s. Homes are typically around 1,900 square feet with 3 to 4 bedrooms and include a mix of ranchers, split-levels, and colonials. Exterior finishes vary throughout the neighborhood, with brick, siding, or a combination of both commonly found.

One of Fairway’s more noticeable features is the lot size. Many properties sit on approximately three-quarters of an acre, providing more outdoor space than you typically find in newer subdivisions closer to Bel Air. Mature trees and landscaping are common, and many homes have wooded or partially wooded backyards.

The setting becomes even more private toward the back of the neighborhood. Homes along Clearwater Drive and Londonderry Drive back to farmland, adding to the quieter feel of the community. There are no sidewalks, and Fairway has a very low Walk Score, so residents generally rely on a car for shopping, dining, and everyday errands.

This neighborhood also does not have an HOA.

What Buyers Should Know

Because Fairway homes were built primarily in the late 1960s and 1970s, buyers should expect to see a wide range of conditions. Some homes have been extensively updated, while others may still have original kitchens, bathrooms, windows, or major systems. It is important to look at the overall condition of each property, not just the cosmetic updates.

Fairway also has larger lots than many newer neighborhoods, which means more lawn and landscaping to maintain. For buyers who enjoy outdoor space, that can be a real advantage, but it does come with additional upkeep.

The neighborhood has a Walk Score of 0, so residents should expect to drive for shopping, dining, and most everyday errands.

Fairway does not have an HOA. Some buyers see that as a benefit because there are fewer neighborhood restrictions and no HOA fee, while others may prefer the added structure that an HOA can provide.
