Greenbrier Hills Location and Convenience

Greenbrier Hills Homes for Sale

Greenbrier Hills is located off Route 22, generally surrounding and extending behind the Greenbrier Shopping Center. Its location is one of the community’s biggest advantages because residents are close to shopping, restaurants, parks, medical offices, and many of the everyday conveniences found throughout Bel Air.

Downtown Bel Air is just a short drive away, providing additional restaurants, local shops, community events, and services. Route 22 also provides convenient access toward Route 543, Route 24, and I-95.

Although Greenbrier Hills is close to commercial areas, much of the community feels distinctly residential once you move away from the main roads.

Homes and Real Estate in Greenbrier Hills

One thing that makes Greenbrier Hills somewhat different from many Bel Air neighborhoods is the variety of housing available. The larger Greenbrier Hills area includes single-family homes, townhomes, villas, condominiums, and apartments.

Homes were constructed over several decades, primarily from the 1980s through the late 2010s. As a result, architectural styles, home sizes, lot sizes, and community layouts can vary considerably depending on which section of Greenbrier Hills you are considering.

Single-family homes tend to range from modest to midsize, while some of the newer sections offer larger homes and additional community amenities. Mature trees and landscaping are common throughout many of the older sections.

This variety also creates a fairly broad range of home prices. Buyers may find more affordable townhomes or condos as well as larger single-family homes, making Greenbrier Hills accessible to several different segments of the Bel Air real estate market.

HOAs and Community Amenities

HOA requirements depend on the individual neighborhood within Greenbrier Hills. Some communities have homeowners associations, while others may have different arrangements or fewer shared amenities.

Certain sections offer features such as community pools, clubhouses, playgrounds, sidewalks, walking paths, and common areas. Neighborhoods such as Emerald Hills have a more planned community feel, while other parts of Greenbrier Hills have a more traditional residential layout.

Greenbrier Hills is served by Harford County Public Schools. Because the community covers a fairly large area and includes several different neighborhoods, school assignments may vary depending on the specific property.

School boundaries can also change over time, so buyers should verify the current elementary, middle, and high school assignments directly with Harford County Public Schools before purchasing a home based on a particular school district.

What I Like About Greenbrier Hills

Having previously lived in Greenbrier Hills, I think one of its strongest features is how practical the location is. You can be close to shopping, restaurants, parks, and downtown Bel Air while still living on a residential street.

The community also has a mature feel in many sections, with established landscaping, trees, sidewalks, and homes that have been updated differently over the years. Instead of every house looking the same, there is generally more variety from one section to another.
