Convenient Bel Air Location
Majors Choice is located in Bel Air, Maryland in zip code 21014. The neighborhood sits just off Moores Mill Road and is positioned in one of the more convenient parts of town.
One of the biggest advantages of this location is that residents can easily walk to downtown Bel Air. Downtown offers a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, small boutiques, and local events throughout the year. Many people enjoy being able to take a short walk into town for dinner or weekend activities.
The neighborhood is also within walking distance of South Hampton Middle School, which can be a benefit for families with school age children.
Because of its central location, residents also have quick access to Route 24 and Route 1, making it easy to travel to other parts of Harford County including Forest Hill, Abingdon, and Fallston.
About the Neighborhood and Homes
Majors Choice is a neighborhood that offers a mix of housing styles, which gives buyers a few different options depending on what they are looking for.
The community was built primarily in the late 1980s. Driving in to the community, you will find the townhomes on the right hand side of Major Choice Drive. These homes are larger than many townhomes in the area and are typically around 1,600 square feet. They often offer multiple levels of living space and can be a good option for buyers who want a manageable home size while still having comfortable living areas.
On the other side of Major Choice Drive, you will find the single family homes. These are modest colonial style homes that generally feature three to four bedrooms and average around 2,500 square feet. The lots for the single family homes are usually around a quarter acre in size.
Many of the yards in Majors Choice are fairly flat and include mature trees, which adds a sense of character to the neighborhood. Because the community was developed several decades ago, the landscaping has had time to mature and provide shade and privacy in many areas.
The neighborhood also includes sidewalks, which makes it easier for residents to walk through the community or take a stroll toward nearby areas.
Like many neighborhoods built in the 1980s, homes in Majors Choice can vary in condition. Some homes have been fully updated over the years, while others may still reflect more original finishes. This variety can create opportunities for buyers depending on whether they prefer a move in ready home or one they can update over time.
Within the community you will also find Majors Choice Park. This small neighborhood park includes a pond and a large open field that provides space for outdoor activities, relaxing walks, or casual recreation.

Independent Brewing Company is a well known local brewery located in Bel Air. It offers a rotating selection of craft beers along with a relaxed atmosphere that often features food trucks and community gatherings.
Shamrock Park, Bynum Run Park, and Rockfield Park
These nearby parks offer a variety of outdoor activities. Shamrock Park has sports fields and playgrounds. Bynum Run Park features walking paths and open space along the creek. Rockfield Park includes sports fields, playground areas, and hosts community events throughout the year.
Harford County Schools
Students living in Majors Choice typically attend Bel Air Elementary School, South Hampton Middle School, and C. Milton Wright High School. These schools are part of the Harford County Public Schools system.
