A Private Forest Hill Setting Deer Hollow Homes for Sale

Deer Hollow is located in the 21050 zip code in Harford County. The neighborhood sits on Kirsten Court, which connects to Bear Hollow Court off Grafton Shop Road. It sits near the Grafton Ridge and Water Vale Farm communities.

This part of Forest Hill has a more open, rural feel than neighborhoods closer to Bel Air. Deer Hollow is surrounded by trees, fields, and other larger residential properties. At the same time, everyday shopping, dining, recreation, and other conveniences in Forest Hill and Bel Air are still within a reasonable drive.

About Deer Hollow Homes

Deer Hollow is a small, upscale neighborhood consisting of just 19 homes. Most of the homes were built during the 2010s, making this a relatively newer community compared with many established neighborhoods throughout Forest Hill.

The homes are traditional Colonial-style properties with substantial living space. Many have more than 5,000 square feet and typically include five to six bedrooms.

One of the defining features of Deer Hollow is the size of the properties themselves. Homes sit on multiple-acre lots, creating considerably more space between neighbors than you would find in a typical suburban development.

The neighborhood has a polished appearance, with well-maintained homes, mature landscaping, and expansive yards. Because Deer Hollow is such a small community and does not have the density of a larger subdivision, it has a quieter residential setting while still feeling like a defined neighborhood.

What Buyers Should Know About Deer Hollow

The acreage is one of Deer Hollow’s biggest attractions, but it is also something buyers should consider practically. Multiple-acre properties require more maintenance than a typical neighborhood lot. Lawn care, landscaping, tree maintenance, and general exterior upkeep can require additional time or expense.

Deer Hollow also has a Walk Score of 1, so this is very much a car-dependent location. The neighborhood is better suited to someone looking for space and privacy than someone who wants to walk to stores, restaurants, or other daily conveniences.

Neither of these considerations is necessarily a drawback. They are simply part of the lifestyle that comes with owning a larger property in this area of Forest Hill.

Ma & Pa Heritage Trail provides local opportunities for walking, running, and biking along portions of the former Maryland & Pennsylvania Railroad corridor, including sections through Forest Hill and Bel Air.
