This location puts you close to local restaurants, shopping, and the downtown waterfront while providing a residential setting with more yard space. For someone who enjoys spending time in Havre de Grace but prefers a detached home outside the downtown streets, it’s an area to consider.
Modest Ranchers with Room Outside
Havre de Grace Heights consists of single-family homes, with many of the properties being ranchers with two or three bedrooms and around 1,100 square feet. These are generally manageable homes with straightforward layouts.
Lots tend to be generous relative to the size of the homes, averaging nearly half an acre. That provides room for gardening, outdoor seating, or simply having some distance between neighboring houses. Mature trees contribute to the neighborhood’s appearance.
There is no HOA, and the streets do not have sidewalks. Homeowners maintain their own houses and yards, so landscaping and exterior updates reflect individual preferences. The combination of smaller homes, larger lots, and no HOA is one of the neighborhood’s main points of appeal.
What Buyers Should Know
Because these are older homes, you’ll find a range of conditions. Some have updated kitchens, bathrooms, and major systems, while others may have more original features or need improvements. Two homes with similar square footage can therefore offer very different value.
