A Convenient Joppa Location

Ridgely's Reserve Homes for Sale

Ridgely’s Reserve is located in the 21085 ZIP code in southern Harford County. The neighborhood has two entrances. One is located on Pagnonia Drive, and the other is on Managrass Drive, which connects with Magnolia Road. The community sits close to the intersection of Magnolia Road and Pulaski Highway.

This location provides convenient access to Route 40, Interstate 95, and other parts of Harford and Baltimore counties. Downtown Bel Air is also within a reasonable drive for shopping, dining, community events, and professional services.

Newer Homes in Ridgely’s Reserve

Ridgely’s Reserve is a newer neighborhood of single-family homes and townhomes built by D.R. Horton. Construction began around 2024 and has continued into 2026. The community was planned with four- and five-bedroom detached homes, along with large four-bedroom townhomes featuring two-car garages.

The townhomes are primarily located toward the front of the community along Beadlilly Way, Pickerel Place, and Managrass Drive. These homes are larger than many traditional townhomes and generally offer four bedrooms, open main-level living areas, and attached two-car garages. One townhome floor plan is approximately 1,934 square feet, although exact layouts, finished space, and features vary by property.

The single-family homes are modestly sized by newer-construction standards and generally include four or five bedrooms with two-car garages. Available floor plans are commonly around 2,100 to 2,500 square feet, although some homes may offer additional finished basement space.

Typical single-family lots are around 0.20 acres. Because the neighborhood is surrounded by wooded areas, certain properties back to trees and may offer more privacy than interior lots. Community features include a tot lot, nature trails, common areas, and lawn maintenance.

What Buyers Should Know

New construction can be appealing because buyers receive newer systems, current finishes, modern layouts, and fewer immediate renovation needs. However, buyers generally pay a premium for a newly built home. If you expect to move again within only a few years, you may find it difficult to recover the full cost of the original purchase price, builder upgrades, closing costs, or improvements made after settlement.

Ridgely’s Reserve is also still maturing. Trees, shrubs, and other landscaping may take time to become established. Because many homes are built on smaller lots, some sections can feel more closely spaced than older neighborhoods. Lots outside the cul-de-sacs tend to be on the smaller side, while properties backing to wooded areas may feel more private.

These considerations are common in many newer communities and are not necessarily disadvantages. Buyers should simply decide whether they place a higher value on newer construction and lower immediate maintenance or on larger lots, mature landscaping, and greater separation between homes.
